Health, safety, and wellbeing
We understand the importance of everyone feeling secure and supported. That’s why we go through regular external and internal audits, and we’re proud to achieve high ratings in Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards. This demonstrates our commitment to you and reflects the dedication we show through our internal WHS system.
Our internal WHS team is here to ensure our safety management systems not only meet but often exceed industry standards. We want to create a safe environment for our team members and clients alike. To do this, we prioritise continuous improvement, identifying hazards, and managing risks in our Safety Management Systems. Your safety and peace of mind are important to us, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
Quality Assurance for the Authorisation of Restrictive Practices
At Home Care is an approved implementing provider under our NDIS Commission registration. We are dedicated to protecting the rights of people with disabilities, enhancing the quality, safety, and regulation of positive behaviour support by collaborating with approved specialist behaviour support providers to reduce or eliminate restrictive practices in our supported areas.
As an implementing provider, we are responsible for obtaining approval to use any regulated restrictive practice from the relevant state or territory authority where the person with disability resides. We will work closely with you and your support network to ensure compliance.
At Home Care will designate two senior representatives with operational experience in behaviour support and restrictive practices to serve on any panel, including, if necessary, one as chair. We will also include independent behaviour support practitioners on panels, as required by state or territory regulations.
