At Home Care actively advocates for the disability sector and aims to ensure that inclusion is part of modern Australia.
We look to support the activities and initiatives of disability organisations nationwide, from disabled surfing and wheelchair sports to peer support programs, equipment and interim sponsorships.
We believe in leading by example and fostering inclusive environments for our clients and partners. To this end, we collaborate with allied health professionals, government organisations, industry bodies, and individuals to promote high-quality care and an inclusive culture.
By hosting community events, such as children’s playdates, we empower children with complex care needs to engage with one another, explore new activities, and create a welcoming space for families to connect and strengthen their networks.
We offer complimentary use of our wheelchair-accessible van to enable anyone with a disability to access the community. The van is safe to drive with a C Class (regular) license, so you just need a driver, usually a family member or friend. We provide the van with no hire fee and a demonstration on how to use the wheelchair hoist and restraints.

We are proud to be able to provide and support the following disability-focused initiatives:
SCIA is a national, member-based organisation. SCIA’s Peer and Family Support program provides free, non-clinical, practical advice and lived experience of physical disability to help people with spinal cord injury. Another service is NeuroMoves, a holistic, evidence-based exercise and therapy service for people with a neurological condition or physical disability.
Click here for more information about SCIA.
The PBF Peer Support team are paraplegic or quadriplegic members of the community who provide in-hospital support to people who have recently sustained a spinal cord injury.
At Home Care has worked closely with PBF for a number of years and have seen and heard first-hand how instrumental this program can be in the lives of those who have sustained a spinal cord injury. Having access to a support person who has been in the same situation while navigating the initial weeks and months following injury is invaluable and At Home Care is delighted to be the major sponsor of this vital program.
At Home Care is an ongoing sponsor of the Saba Rose Button Foundation, which provides equipment, emergency respite, and other essential support not funded by the NDIS for WA children living with disability and their families.

At Home Care is proud to be the major sponsor of Wheelchair Rugby WA in 2023 and 2024, including Rebound WA’s local wheelchair rugby program and the West Coast Enforcers state team who represent WA in national competitions.
This sponsorship contributes to uniforms, equipment, and player development to support both players and the sport in WA.
Wheelchair Rugby WA welcomes people of all experience – from newcomers and social players to competitive players who represent Western Australia as part of the West Coast Enforcers. The group trains at Herb Graham Recreation Centre and is always looking for new members to join the club. Interested in trying Wheelchair Rugby? Call Wheelchair Sports WA on 6143 5800, visit them on Facebook, or just go on down to their next session!
Powerchair Football is a modified version of the world game (soccer) designed to suit electric wheelchairs which many people use for daily life.
At Home Care has proudly sponsored equipment and resources for the WA Powerchair Football Association to support the development of the players and sport so more individuals can get involved in the sport.
In addition to the initiatives above, At Home Care regularly supports and sponsors charity and fundraising events held throughout the year.
We understand how much work goes into developing and organising events such as these and how important they are in raising both awareness and funds to help loved ones receive the best possible opportunities, care and equipment.
