Continence assessments, At Home
A continence assessment can provide advice and means to help you access ongoing support and management options. It involves being seen by an At Home Care Clinical Nurse – Continence Advisor, who will discuss your or your child’s bladder or bowel symptoms. The nurse may conduct a physical examination to identify the type and causes of incontinence.
Our clinical nurse will visit you and offer expertise in preparing your continence plan, defining the products you need, and reviewing the plan. At the end of the continence assessment, you’ll have a better understanding of:
- A continence management plan tailored to your needs and goals
- Recommendation for continence products and equipment you need
- Improved management techniques
